*glee overload*
THIS, my friends, is the result of a solid week and a half of toil over my laptop, and constantly looking over my Cowboy Bebop dvd's.
Soon I will release not only closeups of the WONDERFUL textures on this piece, but also a full making-of sequence.
This is the Redtail, the zip-craft piloted by Faye Valentine on the successful anime series 'Cowboy Bebop'. I have not yet seen a SINGLE 3D model of this ship on the net, and I personally think I have been the first to dare attempt her.
I thank the wonderful David Ball for his minimal amount of help (heh, I kid, I kid) and I hope you all like this.
One last note, I had to disable raytracing when I rendered this, and as such it does not quite look as good, and it has no reflections.

Share and Enjoy
(please, PLEASE share and enjoy!)

It feels like almost all Deviants are just after Pageviews. Do everyone a favour. Only give them that pleasure if they've Commented on your work!

bah, raytracing is for wuss'. You don't need it anyway.

Reuben this is an awesome model, with textures and decals it would be the absolute icing on the cake. I'm really looking forward to a full animation with these badboys!

Ok, I have replaced the image with a newer render. This one has raytracing enabled, albeit excluded from some objects, namely the guns. I have also included a rear view, since many people i have showed this to have aggravated me with their questions regarding its propulsion.

Enjoy the new-and-improved Redtail!!!

That's cool!
I admire your rendering skills.
And what an awesome subject you've chosen! Faye's ride is cool!!

Thank you for your kind words^^
I only had the movie and the first 5 episodes for reference at the time.
One of these days I'll be bored enough to make the Swordfish, hopefully.

I'd love to see the Swordfish! That would be awesome! :D

What do you render all these in?

Between the conception and the creation, between the emotion and the response falls the shadow.
:iconmk-8:
Wow, talk about a delayed response. I just use the standard render settings in 3D Studio Max 7.
